FishBookPro© is intended for anglers with different devices, levels of experience and access needs. Accessibility should be considered throughout design and development rather than added only after the platform is complete.
Clear structure
Pages should use logical headings, landmarks and navigation so visitors can understand where they are.

Text should remain clear, comfortably sized and understandable without unnecessary technical language.
Keyboard access
Important links, buttons, forms and expandable controls should be usable without a mouse.

02 / CURRENT STATUS
Current public-preview website status
The current website includes responsive desktop, tablet and mobile layouts, semantic page headings, visible navigation, expandable FAQ controls, reduced-motion considerations, clearly labelled buttons, high-contrast branded sections, mobile touch targets and public information pages. The website still requires manual keyboard, screen-reader, zoom, contrast and device testing before publication.

04 / READABLE BY DESIGN
Text and readability
The intended standards include clear font sizes, comfortable line spacing, medium-weight headings, short paragraphs, meaningful headings, plain-language explanations, adequate spacing between sections, text that wraps naturally, no clipped accordion answers and no important text embedded only inside images.
Visitors should be able to increase text size without content becoming hidden, overlapping or unusable. Decorative typography must not reduce the readability of essential information.
05 / VISUAL CLARITY
Colour and contrast
The website should provide strong contrast between text and backgrounds, clear button states, visible keyboard focus, readable form labels, clear error and success messages, links that can be recognised without relying only on colour, and selected states using both colour and a visible indicator.
Colour should support meaning, but it should not be the only way important information is communicated. Final contrast testing is required across all component states and breakpoints. No formal contrast score is claimed here.
06 / VISUAL CONTENT
Images and visual content
Meaningful images should include appropriate alternative text. This includes the official FishBookPro© logo, feature illustrations, interface previews, decorative aquatic geometry, icons, future user-uploaded catch photographs and venue photographs.
Decorative images should normally be ignored by assistive technology where they add no meaningful information. Future user-uploaded catch photographs may require editable descriptions, generated suggestions or another suitable method for improving accessibility. Automatic image description is not claimed here.
07 / INTERACTION
Forms and interactive controls
Forms and controls should provide visible labels, clear required-field indicators, helpful instructions, keyboard operation, large touch targets, specific validation messages, error summaries where appropriate, success confirmation, unsurprising focus movement, consent controls that are not preselected, and clear expanded and collapsed states.
The Early Access form must be tested for labels, keyboard order, validation, consent wording and screen-reader feedback before it begins collecting production information. Placeholder text must not replace a proper field label.
08 / MOTION
Motion and animation
FishBookPro© uses restrained reveal animations, ripple effects, accordion transitions, hover elevation, search-interface effects and decorative movement. Essential information must not depend on animation.
Reduced-motion preferences should remove unnecessary movement, reduce large transitions, avoid looping decorative motion, preserve all content, preserve all controls and keep status changes understandable.
Flashing or rapidly pulsing effects must not be introduced.
09 / FLEXIBLE LAYOUTS
Responsive layouts, text resizing and zoom
Pages should remain usable across desktop screens, tablets, mobile phones, portrait orientation, landscape orientation, browser zoom, increased text size and narrow windows. Content should reflow rather than forcing visitors to scroll sideways for ordinary page text.

10 / MEDIA
Video and audio
Any future video or audio content should consider captions, transcripts, controls, pause and playback, audio descriptions where appropriate, no unexpected autoplay with sound, keyboard-accessible controls, clear labels and reduced-motion preferences.
Important product information should not be available only through video or audio. Captioning has not been claimed as complete here.
11 / AI CONTENT
Search Anything and AI-generated content
Accessibility must apply to AI-assisted features. Search Anything answers should provide clear heading structure, readable answer sections, source descriptions, confidence expressed in text, uncertainty expressed in text, facts distinguished from inference, status messages that screen readers can detect, and no reliance on colour alone.
Community AI answers should provide a clearly readable ‘AI-generated answer’ label, review before publication, accessible source and confidence information, clear error feedback and clear usage-limit feedback. Each user is intended to receive one AI-generated community answer per genuine active session, enforced server-side.
Messages explaining that the allowance has been used must be understandable without relying on colour, animation or icons alone. These AI features are planned and are not already live.
12 / FUTURE PRODUCT
The future FishBookPro© member application
The logged-in application will require accessibility consideration for registration, authentication, profiles, feeds, friend and follow controls, Smart Catch Cards, fishing sessions, photograph uploads, privacy settings, location controls, maps, weather data, Water Hubs, Search Anything, community questions, AI-generated answers, reporting and moderation, and account settings.
Complex angling information should be presented in both understandable visual layouts and accessible text. Maps and charts should have useful text alternatives or summaries where practical. The application is not being built or connected in this task.
13 / HONEST STATUS
Known limitations
Potential areas requiring testing include full screen-reader navigation, browser and operating-system combinations, keyboard behaviour in complex Framer components, mobile-menu focus handling, accordion announcements, embedded external media, colour contrast in every hover and disabled state, text resizing at high zoom levels, alternative text for all images, future maps and charts, future user-generated photographs, and future AI status announcements.

How accessibility will be tested
The development process should include keyboard-only navigation, screen-reader testing, browser zoom testing, increased text-size testing, mobile and tablet testing, portrait and landscape layouts, contrast review, reduced-motion testing, form validation testing, touch-target review and real-user feedback where possible.
Automated checks are useful, but they cannot replace manual testing and feedback from people using assistive technology. No formal certification is claimed.
