These guidelines describe the standards intended for the future FishBookPro© community. They will be reviewed and updated before public member accounts are opened.

Review AI-assisted content carefully and never present it as verified human expertise.
02 / WELCOME
Respect other members
FishBookPro© should welcome beginners, experienced anglers, different fishing methods and target species, pleasure anglers, match anglers, specimen anglers, sea anglers, coarse anglers, game anglers, fisheries, clubs, creators, volunteers and water managers.
Users must not post harassment, threats, hate speech, discriminatory attacks, sexual harassment, targeted humiliation, doxxing, repeated unwanted contact, encouragement of violence, or abuse based on skill level or fishing method.
Disagreement is allowed. Personal abuse is not. Members should address the information being discussed rather than attacking the contributor.
03 / CATCH STORIES
Share catches honestly
Catch and session posts should distinguish between verified measurements, estimated measurements, personal recollection, opinion, inference and AI-generated information. Users should not falsify catch weights, reuse another person’s catch photograph as their own, misrepresent the venue, fabricate a capture, deliberately alter records to mislead others, present estimates as verified measurements, claim another angler’s catch, or hide commercial sponsorship where disclosure is required.
An honest correction is better than defending an inaccurate post.

04 / LOCATION SHIELD
Protect private fishing locations
Precise fishing positions require special protection. A photograph, comment or Catch Card must not be used to expose another angler’s deliberately private location.
Users must not publish another person’s exact coordinates, reveal a private swim without permission, circumvent Location Shield, combine several posts to identify a hidden position, redistribute private location information, pressure another angler to reveal a swim, use metadata or backgrounds to expose a protected position deliberately, share restricted access information that could encourage trespass, or publish photographs of private signs, maps or access codes irresponsibly.

A named venue or general area does not grant permission to fish, enter private land or ignore local rules.
05 / VENUE INFORMATION
Venue and Water Hub discussions
Venue questions and Water Hub discussions should help anglers understand rules, access, facilities, species, accessibility, safety, events, temporary closures, ticket arrangements, contact routes and general fishing conditions.
Users must not knowingly post false closure notices, false safety information, fabricated fishery rules, misleading ticket prices, unverified pollution claims presented as fact, false accusations against owners or staff, private access codes, restricted gate details, information that encourages trespass, or deliberately harmful rumours.
When important venue information is uncertain, identify it as unconfirmed and direct anglers to the official venue or club source.
06 / REPRESENTATION
Fisheries, clubs and official-looking accounts
Anyone claiming to represent a fishery, club, association or water manager must be authorised to do so, use accurate organisation details, keep important notices reasonably current, distinguish official statements from personal opinion, respect member and visitor privacy, avoid publishing private membership records, correct misleading access or safety information, and avoid claiming control of waters they do not manage.
An official-looking profile must not be treated as verified unless FishBookPro© has completed a future verification process.

07 / FISH & WILDLIFE
Fish welfare, wildlife and conservation
FishBookPro© encourages content that supports careful fish handling, suitable unhooking equipment, appropriate recovery time, responsible photography, safe retention practices, biosecurity, disposal of line and hooks, protection of banks and habitats, respect for nesting wildlife, and reporting pollution or distressed wildlife through proper channels.
Content must not promote or celebrate deliberate cruelty, illegal killing or taking of protected fish, dangerous handling presented as good practice, abandoning tackle or litter, wildlife harassment, destruction of habitats, illegal stocking or fish movement, or harmful methods that breach local rules or law.
FishBookPro© should support constructive education where poor practice appears accidental, while serious or deliberate harm may require immediate moderation. This page is not professional veterinary advice.
08 / STAY SAFE
Safety and legal information
Members remain responsible for checking fishing licences, venue permissions, local rules, closed seasons, species restrictions, weather, tides, river levels, flood warnings, ice conditions, personal capability, equipment and emergency information.
Community posts, weather snapshots, Search Anything results and AI-generated answers must not replace official warnings, local rules or personal safety judgement. Never enter dangerous water, trespass or ignore an official restriction because of something posted on FishBookPro©.
09 / USEFUL QUESTIONS
Ask useful questions and contribute useful answers
Community and venue questions should be relevant to angling, include enough context to understand the issue, avoid demanding private locations, avoid targeting another member, avoid repeated duplicate posting, distinguish urgent safety concerns from ordinary discussion, and avoid pretending an opinion is an official venue statement.
Helpful answers should address the actual question, explain uncertainty, mention time-sensitive limitations, refer to official information where appropriate, avoid exposing private catch records or exact positions, remain respectful, and be corrected when new information becomes available.
Useful information should remain available for future visitors where it continues to be relevant.
10 / PRIVATE INTELLIGENCE
Search Anything
Search Anything is intended to answer natural-language angling questions using the user’s selected criteria, structured FishBookPro© information, privacy-safe community patterns, relevant current public information and AI-assisted interpretation.
Do not use it to identify private anglers · Do not request another member’s exact swim · Do not use it to bypass location protections · Do not treat an answer as a guaranteed catch prediction · Check current venue rules and official warnings · Review confidence and source information · Distinguish fact from inference · Correct obviously unsuitable output
Search Anything must never reveal private Catch Cards, private notes or exact protected fishing coordinates.
11 / REVIEW BEFORE POSTING
AI-generated community answers
A community or venue question may display an ‘Ask AI for an answer’ button beside the contributor’s posted question. The planned system may read the displayed question and permitted context, analyse relevant privacy-safe FishBookPro© records, review structured catch, session and venue information, search current trusted public sources, cross-check the available information, synthesise a proposed answer, populate the answer field, label it clearly as ‘AI-generated answer’, and allow the user to review it before publication.
Review before posting
An AI-generated answer must never publish automatically. The requesting user must be able to review the proposed answer before choosing whether to post it. The label ‘AI-generated answer’ must remain visible after publication.
One AI-generated answer per genuine active session
Each user is limited to one AI-generated community answer per genuine active session. The limit must be enforced server-side. Browser session storage alone is insufficient; refreshing a page, closing and reopening a tab, or manipulating client state must not automatically bypass the backend restriction. A new allowance may be granted only after genuine session expiry or a valid new authenticated session, with additional rate limits available to prevent abuse.
AI-generated answers must not reveal private anglers, exact fishing positions or private Catch Cards; impersonate a human expert; remove the AI label; flood a discussion; answer unrelated abusive prompts; present uncertainty as guaranteed fact; or invent unavailable weather or venue information.
The future interface should show where practical: information categories considered · current public sources · freshness · confidence · uncertainty · whether the answer contains inference. This system is planned and is not already live.
12 / TRUST & COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY
Spam, scams and commercial activity
Users must not post repetitive promotions, fake competitions, phishing, fraudulent tackle sales, counterfeit products, fake ticket offers, malicious links, undisclosed impersonation, artificial likes or followers, automated posting abuse, misleading sponsorship, repeated irrelevant links, attempts to harvest private information, or requests for passwords or authentication codes.
Legitimate angling businesses and organisations may later be permitted to participate under clear rules. Commercial relevance does not remove the requirement to be honest, useful and transparent.
13 / SHARE CAREFULLY
Photographs and personal information
Users should obtain appropriate permission before posting identifiable photographs of other people. Avoid exposing home addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, vehicle registration details, access codes, membership records, children’s personal information, private messages, exact fishing coordinates or documents visible in photographs.
Photographs may contain location clues or metadata. Review what you are sharing before publication. Images involving younger users require additional care and future age-policy safeguards.
14 / KEEP IT CURRENT
Disagreements, corrections and changing conditions
Angling information changes, including venue rules, ticket arrangements, water levels, weather, access, fishery ownership, species information, seasonal restrictions and club notices. Members should correct mistakes calmly, add updated sources, acknowledge uncertainty, avoid personal attacks, edit outdated information where possible, report dangerous misinformation, and distinguish experience from universal fact.
Being corrected is not a community violation. Harassing someone while correcting them may be.
15 / REPORT
Reporting content or behaviour
Planned reporting tools should cover harassment, threats, hate speech, scams, impersonation, exposed private locations, dangerous advice, wildlife harm, false venue representation, spam, mislabelled AI content, AI-generation abuse, illegal content and privacy violations.

Reports should be made honestly. Deliberately false or retaliatory reporting may itself lead to restrictions. No working report form is connected.
16 / PLATFORM SAFETY
Moderation actions
Future moderation may include guidance, content labels, correction requests, reduced visibility, comment restrictions, AI-generation restrictions, temporary feature limits, content removal, account warnings, temporary suspension, permanent account closure, preservation of evidence where required, and referral of serious threats or unlawful conduct where legally necessary.
Moderation should consider context, severity, repetition, intent, risk and previous behaviour. FishBookPro© cannot promise that every harmful post will be identified immediately.

Appeals, reviews and corrections
Significant moderation decisions should have an appropriate review route. Planned review options may include requesting a second review, providing missing context, correcting mistaken identity, challenging an incorrect location-protection decision, challenging an AI-content label decision, appealing account restrictions, and asking for correction of an organisation listing.

18 / AGE & SAFETY
Guidance for younger users
The minimum account age and any parental-consent requirements have not yet been finalised. The final production system must establish a minimum account age, age-appropriate privacy defaults, communication restrictions, location protection, reporting controls, parental or guardian requirements, moderation safeguards and restrictions on unwanted contact.
Public member accounts must not launch until the age policy and appropriate safeguards are confirmed.
19 / VERSIONING
Changes to these guidelines
These guidelines will evolve as FishBookPro© moves from public preview into testing and production. Material changes should be dated, clearly explained, communicated appropriately, and consistent with the Terms of Use and Privacy Notice.
Previous versions should remain available where practical.
