04 / YOUR IDENTITY

Accounts and profiles

Planned accounts may include display names, profile photographs, general regions, favourite species, fishing interests, friends, followers, profile visibility, blocking, reporting and account security. Public profile information must remain separate from private catches, private notes and precise fishing positions.

05 / RECORD THE CATCH

Smart Catch Cards

A planned Smart Catch Card may contain species, photograph, catch date and time, weight, length, method, bait or lure, rod and reel, named water, general area, weather conditions, notes, visibility choice and a private-location record.

06 / CONNECTED RECORDS

Fishing sessions

The planned session journey is: Start a private session → Add notes → Add photographs → Record catches → Add conditions → Complete the session → Select what may be shared → Create a session story.

Private session record → Select shareable content → Published session story

Private notes and precise locations must remain outside the published story unless deliberately selected through an appropriate sharing control. Working session tools are not active here.

07 / CONTROL

Privacy and sharing

Planned audience choices include Private, Selected friends, Friends, Followers and Public. FishBookPro is being designed so an angler may use it as a private fishing record without publishing catches socially.

08 / LOCATION SHIELD

Location Shield

Location Shield is the planned protection system for separating a private catch position from the broader location an angler chooses to share. Planned choices include Exact position private, Named water, General area, Wider region and No shared location.

Never publish another angler’s private swim or exact coordinates without permission. A named venue or general area does not grant permission to fish, enter private land or ignore local rules.

09 / CONDITIONS

Weather and catch conditions

The planned process is: The angler records a catch → A phone or browser supplies a consented location and catch time → A secure Supabase Edge Function requests weather data → The returned snapshot is stored with the catch → Public sharing uses privacy-safe location precision.

Preferred future provider approach: MET Norway Locationforecast as the preferred initial provider · UK Met Office Weather DataHub as a possible fallback · A replaceable provider abstraction. This does not imply a formal partnership.

Possible data: Air temperature · Atmospheric pressure · Wind speed and direction · Precipitation · Humidity · Cloud cover · Weather description · Provider · Retrieval time · Units · Observation, forecast or historical status · Retrieval-success state

FishBookPro must never fabricate an unavailable weather value. Without internet access, weather should remain pending or unavailable rather than being invented.

10 / ANGling INTELLIGENCE

Search Anything

Search Anything is the planned private angling-intelligence feature. It may combine a user’s question, selected filters, species, general location, water type, time of day, season, weather, method, bait or lure, rod and reel, structured FishBookPro records, privacy-safe community patterns, current trusted public information and AI-assisted synthesis.

11 / ASK THE COMMUNITY

Community and venue questions

Community questions should be relevant to angling, include enough useful context, avoid requesting private locations, avoid targeting another member, avoid duplicate spam, distinguish opinion from official information and remain useful to future visitors.

Helpful answers should address the actual question, mention uncertainty, refer to official information where appropriate, avoid exposing private catch records or exact positions, and be corrected when new information becomes available.

12 / REVIEW BEFORE POSTING

AI-generated community answers

A contributor-posted community or venue question may display an ‘Ask AI for an answer’ button. The planned flow may read the question and permitted context, analyse privacy-safe FishBookPro records, review structured catches and venues, search current trusted sources, cross-check information, synthesise an answer, populate a reviewable field, display the label ‘AI-generated answer’ and let the user review before publishing.

Question posted by contributor → Ask AI for an answer → AI-generated answer draft → Review before posting

One AI-generated answer per genuine active session

Each user will be limited to one AI-generated community answer per genuine active session. Enforcement must be server-side; refreshing the page, closing a tab or manipulating client state must not automatically reset the limit. A new allowance may be granted after genuine session expiry or a valid new authenticated session.

13 / WATER HUBS

Water Hubs

A future Water Hub may contain venue descriptions, rules, notices, species information, accessibility information, facilities, opening information, ticket guidance, contact routes, temporary closures, events and community updates.

14 / ORGANISATIONS

Fisheries and angling clubs

Future organisation support may help fishery owners, water managers, angling clubs, club officials, match organisers, associations and approved volunteers register interest, receive future verification, publish rules, post closure notices, update accessibility information, protect member information, distinguish official notices from personal comments and report false representation.

Register Organisation Interest

15 / SAFETY

Reporting and moderation

Planned reports may cover harassment, threats, hate speech, scams, spam, impersonation, exposed private locations, dangerous advice, wildlife harm, false venue representation, illegal content, privacy violations, mislabelled AI content and AI-generation abuse.

Future reporting flow preview: Choose a reason → Add relevant context → Submit report → Moderation review → Outcome where appropriate

FishBookPro cannot promise that every harmful post will be detected immediately. This is a conceptual flow only; no working report form is connected.

16 / STAY SECURE

Account and technical safety

Use a strong unique password, protect authentication codes, do not share accounts, report suspected account access, do not submit passwords through support forms, check links before opening them, be cautious with unsolicited tackle offers, never pay someone solely because they claim to represent FishBookPro, review privacy settings and keep device software reasonably current.

FishBookPro will never need another user’s private swim or account password to answer an ordinary support question. Production security systems are not being claimed as active here.

17 / ACCESS FOR EVERY ANGLER

Accessibility support

The website is designed with keyboard navigation, visible focus, responsive layouts, text wrapping, reduced motion, clear labels, accessible accordions, readable contrast, large touch targets and meaningful image descriptions in mind.

Further keyboard, screen-reader, zoom, contrast and device testing is required before publication. No working accessibility-report form is connected here.
