TERMS & COMMUNITY RESPONSIBILITIES

Clear expectations for a useful angling community.

Clear expectations for a useful angling community.

Clear expectations for a useful angling community.

These draft terms explain the expected use of the FishBookPro public-preview website and the principles intended for the future FishBookPro social platform.

Development draft

These terms are being prepared for product development and legal review. They are not final and must be confirmed before public member accounts or production services are launched.

Last updated: [confirm before publishing]

01 / THE AGREEMENT

About these terms

These terms are intended to explain the rules for using the FishBookPro public website and the planned FishBookPro platform. The final agreement will identify the legal entity providing the service, the applicable law and the contact route before public accounts are opened.

Service provider: [to be confirmed before launch]

02 / CURRENT STATUS

Current public-preview website

The current website describes planned FishBookPro features and contains illustrative interface previews. It does not guarantee that every displayed feature will launch, may change during development, does not currently provide a live member social platform, does not provide working Search Anything answers, does not provide live AI community answers and does not guarantee Early Access admission.

Feature demonstrations, example answers, fictional catches and interface previews are shown to explain the intended product experience. They must not be treated as live fishing reports, guaranteed recommendations or confirmed release commitments.

03 / PREVIEW PARTICIPATION

Early Access participation

Registering interest may allow a person to receive development updates, provide product feedback, express interest in testing, represent angler, club or fishery requirements, or be considered for future preview access.

Registering interest does not guarantee an invitation, launch date, free membership, permanent access or any particular feature. Early Access participation may be limited, changed, paused or withdrawn during development.

04 / AGE & SAFETY

Account eligibility

The minimum age for a FishBookPro member account has not yet been finalised. The production platform must establish a minimum account age, parental or guardian requirements where applicable, age-appropriate defaults, communication safeguards, location protections, and content and moderation controls.

Public member accounts must not launch until the age policy and appropriate safeguards are confirmed.

05 / ACCOUNT CARE

Account responsibility

Future users are expected to provide accurate account information, protect passwords and authentication access, avoid sharing accounts, keep contact information reasonably current, report suspected unauthorised access, use only accounts they are authorised to control, and follow privacy and community settings responsibly.

Users should not attempt to access another person’s account, private Catch Cards, precise locations, private messages or restricted information.

06 / USEFUL PARTICIPATION

Acceptable use

FishBookPro should be used for legitimate angling-related purposes such as sharing catches and sessions, discussing species and methods, asking angling questions, following waters and venues, recording private fishing history, supporting clubs and fisheries, sharing safety, access or conservation information, using Search Anything responsibly, and reviewing AI-generated information before publication.

Users remain responsible for what they choose to post, share, rely upon or publish.

07 / COMMUNITY SAFETY

Prohibited behaviour

The following behaviour should not be used on FishBookPro: Harassment, threats or targeted abuse · Hate speech or discriminatory attacks · Impersonation · Scams, fraud or deceptive promotion · Spam or repetitive posting · Malware or malicious links · Attempts to bypass access controls · Attempts to reveal private fishing locations · Publishing another angler’s exact coordinates without permission · Doxxing or exposing private personal information

Also prohibited: Manipulating likes, follows, reports or rankings · Automated account abuse · Scraping restricted user information · Uploading illegal material · Deliberately false venue or safety information · Encouraging dangerous or unlawful conduct · Misusing AI-generation limits · Attempting to bypass server-side session restrictions · Publishing AI answers as verified human expertise without the label

FishBookPro may restrict activity that creates an unreasonable risk to users, waters, wildlife, fisheries, clubs or the platform.

08 / FISH SAFELY

Angling safety and legal compliance

Users remain responsible for holding appropriate licences, following local fishery rules, obtaining permission to fish, respecting closed seasons and restrictions, following species protections, using lawful methods and equipment, checking weather, tides and water conditions, assessing personal safety, protecting wildlife and habitats, following biosecurity requirements, and respecting landowners and other water users.

FishBookPro information, community posts and AI-assisted guidance must not replace current local rules, official notices, personal judgement or emergency advice. Never enter dangerous water, trespass or ignore venue restrictions because of a post, search result or AI-generated suggestion.

09 / YOUR RECORDS

Catches, photographs and session content

Future users may create Smart Catch Cards, private catches, session records, photographs, notes, stories, comments, venue questions, community answers and personal fishing records. Creating a Catch Card should not automatically make it public.

Users should choose an appropriate audience · Avoid uploading content they do not have permission to use · Respect other people visible in photographs · Avoid exposing private information accidentally · Confirm measurements and details where reasonably possible · Clearly distinguish estimates from verified measurements

FishBookPro may label, limit or remove content that is deceptive, unsafe, unlawful or seriously harmful to the community.

10 / LOCATION SHIELD

Locations and private fishing information

Precise fishing locations require special protection. FishBookPro is intended to let users select exact position kept private, named water, general area, wider region or no shared location.

Users must not reveal another person’s private swim, publish exact coordinates without permission, use FishBookPro to trespass, circumvent Location Shield, infer and redistribute protected coordinates, combine posts to expose deliberately hidden locations, or use private location information to damage fisheries or wildlife.

A named water, general area or privacy-safe pattern must not be treated as permission to access or fish a location.

11 / AI-ASSISTED SEARCH

Search Anything

Search Anything is a planned AI-assisted angling feature intended to combine a user’s question and selected criteria with structured FishBookPro information, privacy-safe community patterns, relevant current public information and AI-assisted interpretation.

Answers may be incomplete · Conditions can change quickly · Fish behaviour cannot be guaranteed · Public sources may contain errors · AI may misunderstand context · Users should check current rules and conditions · Confidence and uncertainty should be displayed · Facts, inference and advice should be distinguished

Search Anything must not expose another angler’s identity, private catches, private notes or exact fishing position. No Search Anything response can guarantee that a user will catch a fish.

12 / REVIEW BEFORE POSTING

AI-generated community answers

A community or venue question may include an ‘Ask AI for an answer’ action. The planned feature may read the posted question and permitted context, analyse relevant privacy-safe FishBookPro records, search current trusted public sources, cross-check available information, synthesise a proposed answer, populate a reviewable answer field, display the label ‘AI-generated answer’, and allow the requesting user to review it before publication.

One answer per genuine active session

Each user should be limited to one AI-generated community answer per genuine active session. The restriction must be enforced server-side; browser storage alone is insufficient. Closing and reopening a browser must not automatically bypass backend controls. Repeated or automated attempts may be restricted, and the allowance may reset after genuine session expiry or a valid new session. Rate limits may be adjusted to protect the platform.

The user who chooses to publish an AI-generated answer remains responsible for reviewing whether it is relevant, respectful and suitable for the discussion. AI-generated content must retain its label after publication.

The feature must not pretend to be a named human contributor, reveal private records, expose exact coordinates, automatically publish without review, present uncertain information as guaranteed fact, flood discussions, or be used for unrelated or abusive prompts.

13 / WATER HUBS

Fisheries, clubs and Water Hubs

Future Water Hubs may allow authorised representatives to publish venue descriptions, rules, notices, opening information, accessibility information, contact routes, species information, events, community updates and safety information.

Representatives must be authorised to represent the organisation · Keep important information reasonably accurate · Avoid claiming ownership of waters they do not manage · Correct misleading safety or access information · Respect member and visitor privacy · Avoid publishing private personal records · Distinguish official notices from community comments

FishBookPro should provide a way to report disputed venue ownership or inaccurate official-looking information. Not every Water Hub should be treated as officially verified unless a future verification process confirms it.

14 / YOUR CONTENT

Content ownership and permissions

Anglers should retain ownership of the original catches, photographs, writing and other content they create. Operating the service may require permission to store content, process photographs, display content to the selected audience, create thumbnails or responsive versions, back up information, distribute authorised public posts through FishBookPro, moderate reported content, and include eligible information in privacy-safe aggregated patterns where allowed.

Final user-content licence: [legal review required]

Content-removal process: [to be confirmed]

Backup-removal limits: [to be confirmed]

The final legal licence must be written narrowly, transparently and reviewed before public accounts open. FishBookPro does not claim ownership of user catches or photographs.

15 / PLATFORM SAFETY

Moderation and enforcement

FishBookPro may eventually warn users, remove content, limit visibility, disable features, restrict AI generation, suspend accounts, close accounts, preserve evidence required for safety or legal review, and refer credible threats or unlawful activity to appropriate authorities where required.

Enforcement should consider context, seriousness, repetition, risk and previous behaviour.

Moderation actions do not guarantee that every harmful post will be detected immediately. FishBookPro does not promise perfect moderation.

16 / SPEAK UP

Reporting and appeals

Planned tools should allow users to report harassment, dangerous advice, scams, false venue representation, exposed private locations, impersonation, illegal content, wildlife harm, mislabelled AI content, spam or automation abuse.

Reporting process: [to be confirmed]

Appeal process: [to be confirmed]

Response targets: [to be confirmed]

An appropriate review or appeal route should be available for significant account restrictions.

17 / UNDER DEVELOPMENT

Platform availability

FishBookPro is under development and may change substantially. The service may add or remove features, change interface designs, modify usage limits, pause testing, correct errors, change providers, introduce maintenance periods, alter Early Access availability or replace experimental features.

FishBookPro does not currently guarantee continuous availability, permanent storage or uninterrupted access.

18 / CONNECTED SOURCES

External information and services

FishBookPro may use or link to Framer, WeWeb, Supabase, weather providers, mapping services, email services, AI providers, fisheries, clubs, public websites, official authorities, external videos or social platforms. Links, source references or integrations do not mean FishBookPro controls or endorses every statement, product or policy provided by an external service.

Planned catch records may request conditions through MET Norway Locationforecast, the UK Met Office Weather DataHub, or other suitable providers introduced through a replaceable provider layer. Provider information may be delayed, estimated, unavailable or different from conditions experienced at the exact fishing position. FishBookPro must not fabricate unavailable weather values.

19 / PLATFORM MATERIALS

FishBookPro materials

The website design, original platform copy, branded interface concepts and FishBookPro assets may be protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. User ownership of uploaded content remains separate from FishBookPro ownership of its platform, branding, software and original materials.

Brand owner: [to be confirmed] · Permitted media use: [to be confirmed] · Copyright enquiries: [to be confirmed]

20 / LEAVING THE PLATFORM

Account restriction and closure

Future users may be able to close their account, request eligible data removal, export eligible personal records, withdraw optional permissions and stop optional communications. FishBookPro may restrict or close an account for serious rule violations, repeated harmful conduct, fraud, security threats, circumvention of safeguards, persistent spam, exposing private locations or unlawful activity.

The final closure, deletion, backup and appeal processes must be confirmed before production launch.

21 / PROFESSIONAL REVIEW REQUIRED

Liability and legal review

This section requires professional legal review before the Terms of Use are published or accepted by users.

The final terms will need to address service availability, user-generated content, fishing outcomes, safety decisions, external information, weather data, AI-generated information, loss of data, business use, consumer rights, liability that cannot legally be excluded, and applicable legal limits.

Liability wording: [legal review required] · Consumer-rights wording: [legal review required] · Governing law: [to be confirmed] · Jurisdiction: [to be confirmed]

No liability exclusions are being invented here, and the final terms must not attempt to exclude rights that cannot legally be excluded.

22 / VERSIONING

Changes to these terms

These terms will change as FishBookPro moves from public preview to testing and production. Future material changes should be clearly dated, explained in ordinary language, communicated appropriately, presented before continued use where acceptance is required, and archived where practical.

Users should not be silently bound to materially different terms without appropriate notice.
